Mongolia

If you were to ask me a month ago the top places in the world I want to travel to, Mongolia would have been far down on the list. Not that it didn't look like a beautiful and amazing country but a place like Iceland looked more appealing. Also I wasn't sure about the whole 3rd world country situation. I'm a very picky eater which is very tough for obvious reasons. Not only was Mongolia not a 3rd world country, it has some incredible food! Especially if you're a meat lover like myself.

I got asked by a producer I work with a lot, Alec, if I wanted to go to Mongolia for a 10 day shoot for the Nature Conservancy. I was in New York on a job and he called me and needed to know within the next 12 hours because of tickets. My immediate reaction was HELL YA! So after talking to some people I decided I was all for it.

The country and the people were incredible. With a population of 3 million and around 1.5 million of those living just in the capital city, it is a growing and flourishing country. When flying in I didn't expect to see skyscrapers and such a dense city life. I will write a more detailed post about photographing the country but for now, here are some of my favorite photos from the trip!
